before & after
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Interior Design Services
The Consultation
This is when we will discuss your goals and you show me your space. We will go over your design esthetic where you will identify design images within Pinterest that you're interested in. If you have your own images, even better! I will use this time to estimate the amount of time it will take to complete your project and send you the quote shortly after our consultation.
The Contract
Now it's time for you to decide whether or not we are a good fit! Choosing a designer is a matter of having similar design style and good working chemistry. If you do choose to move forward, I will send you the contract and once it's signed, I will send you the invoice for the 50% retainer fee. Once those two steps are taken care of, we will schedule a time for me to come out and take measurements of your home.
Remodeling & Custom Work
I have a team of contractors that I regularly work with that are incredibly skilled, detail oriented and reliable. For any remodeling projects or custom work that is needed, I do the designs and work with my team to see them come to life. I'm also happy to work with your contractor, if you prefer.
Payment
After determining the estimated number of hours needed for the project, I bill 50% of those hours in advance as a retainer. I keep a detailed log of time spent and will share those details with you as the project progresses. As I get near the end of those hours, I will notify you and will bill you for the remaining 50%. If we do go over the estimated hours I will bill you in blocks of ten until we complete the project.
Tasks will include, creating a 3D model (or a rendering) for your space, sourcing furnishings, sourcing inspiration and images, custom art, meeting with contractors, phone and in-person meetings with you, shopping and the like.
I accept Venmo, Cash App, Zelle & credit cards. I will provide an invoice for you for each payment.
Measurements
We will schedule a time for me to come over and measure each room we plan to work on. This can be tedious on the front end but will allow me to digitally recreate your home into a 3D model/rendering and find pieces that will fit in the space.
Renderings
I will recreate your space in the form of a rendering. While the dimensions of the space should be pretty accurate the furniture will be moreso conceptual. The furniture will reflect the coloring, general size and basic design style that we want to achieve.
Moodboards
Depending on the nature of the project, I may create moodboards for you so that you can visualize the space.
Organization
Organization is key throughout this process. We will use Pinterest to organize all images and potential purchases. And once we've determine which pieces you're going with, I'll put together a purchase list so that we can keep track of all the orders, in addition to your spending.
Final Touches
Once everything has arrived, we move onto the decor phase of the project. Usually I begin this process by doing a day of shopping, coming back to your home and placing the various things I've purchased throughout your home. Whatever you like, I simply invoice you for and return the rest. If there are still things we need, I either do more shopping or source them online.
Art
I source art for my clients at local galleries and online. We'll begin this process by having you share your favorite artists with me or just examples of art you're drawn to.
One of the unique services that I offer my clients is custom art. I myself am an artist and I frequently make custom pieces that tie into the newly designed home. You can see more of my art here. This requires, of course, that our taste in art is aligned so we will determine that beforehand.
