Virtual Design Service

Consultation

As we will be working virtually we will have our consultation via video. This will not only allow us to get to know one another but you will give me a virtual tour of your space. We will discuss your design goals during this call.

Photos

While you're giving me the virtual tour of your space, I will take snap shots of your space with my computer. I may ask you to pause here and there so that I can take these photos.

The Contract

Now it's time for you to decide whether or not we are a good fit! Choosing a designer is a matter of having similar design style and good working chemistry. If you do choose to move forward, I will send you the contract and once it's signed, I will send you the invoice for the first block of ten hours of design. Once those two steps are taken care of, I will put your project start date on my calendar.

Payment

I work in blocks of 10 hours at a time. Meaning, after completing 10 hours of work, I will send you an invoice along with a detailed log of time spent. Upon receipt of payment, I will continue to do another 10 hours of work. This allows you to maintain a tight control and monitor of your design budget.

Tasks will include, creating a 3D model (or a rendering) for your space, sourcing furnishings, sourcing inspiration and images, custom art, meeting with contractors, phone/video meetings with you, shopping and the like.

I accept Venmo, Cash App, Zelle & credit cards through Wave.

Measurements

Once we get started, I will need four things from you:

  1. Clear photos of the rooms to be designed.

  2. Clear photos of the furniture you will be keeping.

  3. Measurements of the space to be designed and the larger furniture you will be keeping. You can use Measure App to mark up your photos with the specific measurements.

  4. Official floor plan (if available).

Rendering

I will recreate your space in the form of a rendering. While the dimensions of the space should be fairly accurate (depending upon the measurements you take and/or the floor plans you provide) the furniture will be moreso conceptual. The furniture will reflect the coloring, general size and basic design style that we want to achieve.

Moodboards

Depending on the nature of the project, I may create moodboards for you so that you can visualize the space.

Pinterest & Trello

We will communicate our ideas via Pinterest. I will create some boards for us to share. In order to get started I will need you to post images that reflect your taste and vision (if you have one at this point).

Depending on the scale of the project, we might use Trello for project management.

Both of these platforms are very easy to use. If you're not familiar with them, I will walk you through it.
